"My work as an independent travel photographer takes me abroad about six months a year. I get to see a lot of places that most people can only dream of. But strange as it may sound, that's not what I focus on in my work. Why? Because everybody knows The Great Wall is great and the Grand Canyon is grand. No point in repeating that."
"To me it's the little things that make the most interesting stories - and the best images. I go into a little store just to get some shaving cream and I walk out with the complete life story of the woman who owns the store. I ask a cab driver to break a ten dollar note and a few hours later we both tumble out of a bar. That's travelling. That's what I do. And that's what I want to show in my work!"
